When I cook, I use garlic all the time because of its health benefits, as well as the flavour it adds to the meal. In celebration of April being Garlic month, I am partnering with Sabra Canada as I enjoy adding Sabra's Roasted Garlic Hummus to a variety of dishes.

Garlic, categorized as both an herb and a vegetable has being used in cooking since 3150 BC. In average North American's consume 2 pounds of garlic a year. On top of adding big flavours to food, garlic is a health hero, as it is known to lower blood pressure, reduce incidences of some types of cancer and can help treat acne.
I have tried this Hummus Garlic Bread recipe from Sabra's website, which is a wonderful way to get all the garlic flavour in garlic bread without using butter.
1-2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Slice French bread in half length wise and set aside. Mix Sabra Roasted Garlic Hummus and garlic together in a small mixing bowl. Spread the hummus mixture on French bread halves. Place the bread on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Preheat the broiler. Broil the bread on a wire baking rack located in the middle of the oven, not too close to the broiler. Broil for about 2 to 5 minutes until the edges are crispy and the cheese is browning. Watch the bread closely as broilers vary in their timing. Cut each half of bread into quarters and serve warm.
