Summer is in full swing, bringing endless opportunities for outdoor meals and snacks to carry along on our adventures. July is National Picnic Month, and I am sure we all get a chance to do a few picnics in the summer.
When it comes to summer entertaining and celebrating, Canadians want simple solutions for maximum relaxation and minimum fuss. Sabra Hummus, North America's largest hummus brand, fits right into this classic Canadian summer scenario as what was once a Middle-Eastern snack or meal has quickly become a go-to for North Americans.
Five different ways we can use hummus during picnic season.
- Warm up your favourite canned gravy and pour it into your Sabra Classic Hummus tub. Add cheese curds, sprinkle some chives on top and dip your favourite veggies and mini potatoes or fries.
- Using it as burger sauce by swapping out a mayo or cream based sauces and replace with Classic Sabra hummus, or the Spicy or Roasted Red pepper.
- Use it as a salad topper by using a scoop of hummus instead of a garlic dressing in a Caesar salad.
- Use it in a pasta salad instead of mayonnaise or salad cream.
- Make a dip by adding your favourite ingredients to a tub of Sabra Classic Hummus such as chilled lobster chunks with basil or fresh tarragon sprigs.
