Chicken Curry Spiced with Ground Pepper

To make this Chicken Curry Spiced with Ground Pepper you will need...

1 lb of chicken
1 tbsp oil
1 onion
1 tsp ginger grated
1 tsp garlic grated or minced
1 tomato

1 tbsp chopped curry leaves 
2" cinnamon
2 cloves
2 cardamom
1 tbsp coriander powder or curry powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ground pepper to taste
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp yogurt or coconut milk
Mix all the ground spices, salt and vinegar with the chicken. Heat the oil and sauté the onion, curry leaves, garlic, and ginger. Add the whole spices and sauté. Add the tomatoes and sauté a little.


Add the chicken with the spices and let it cook for about 3 minutes on medium high heat. Add the water and cover the pot with a lid and cook on low heat until the chicken is well cooked. 


Once the chicken is cooked add either yogurt or thick coconut milk and let it cook for 2 minutes before removing from heat and serve with rice or flatbread.
