Win this Prize Pack to Get Closer to Real Food This Gardening Season

I love that it is gardening season. We have started to put down seeds and plant vegetables and herbs in our garden. Although, it is time to get out there and get our hands dirty in truth less than half of Canadians have ever actually grown fresh fruit or vegetables. While we may think farmer’s markets are bridging this gap, Kashi Plant it Forward survey has shown that one third of Canadians will not even visit a farmer’s market or community garden this year. Due to this reason Kashi and Evergreen have partnered for a second year in a row on the #PlantItForward initiative encouraging Canadians to “Give. Get. Grow” and celebrate all the little farmers in each of us.

Kashi #PlantitForward Initiative Building Community Gardens

It is gardening season, which means it is time to get our hands dirty and get real about food. This spring, Kashi is introducing a unique program called #PlantitForward to make a positive difference in communities across Canada. Kashi and Evergreen, a not for profit organization dedicated to green cities and a healthy planet, are partnering to increase access to fresh, healthy, locally grown foods by building and supporting 18 community gardens. Community residents will take part in the planning process and help build a garden that will provide real food to nourish their family and friends.
