1 banana flower remove some outer petals
handful of scraped coconut optional or use 1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp oil
1 tbsp onion
1 tbsp curry leaves
1 tsp maldive fish optional
1 tsp chillie powder
1/2 tsp chillie flakes
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp garam masala
1 tsp salt
2 tsp lemon juice
Prepare some water with a handful of scraped coconut or lemon juice and put the finely chopped banana flower into it.
To remove the stain of the utensils and hand use some coconut or lemon juice and rub.
Squeeze out the water from the banana flower with the coconut and leave aside.
Heat oil saute onions and curry leaves. Add maldive fish. Then add the banana flower and spices mix well. Cook covered till the banana flowers are soft and done, adjust salt and lemon juice.
