Grapefruit and Ginger Drink made using the Hemisphere Twist Blender

I love the beautiful sleek and stylish Breville® appliances that we can use everyday. Breville’s Hemisphere Twist Blender adds a twist to our daily routine with a splash of flavour. I really like the innovative design of the Breville Hemisphere Twist that livens up our recipes and add greater depth to our drinks. The standard lid is interchangeable with the unique citrus cone lid that allows us to bring an instant infusion of citrus into any delectable creation, from smoothies and cocktails to dips, spreads, soups, and more.
The Hemisphere Twist combines an exclusive MiniHemisphere Blade and Bowl System that generates a powerful vortex to minimize food traps and pulls all the ingredients together, from top to bottom, to achieve the smoothest consistency and truly even colour and texture for unparalleled presentation. I really like the convenient pre-set functions such as the automatic "Smoothie" mode and a time saving "60-second Auto-Clean" in this machine.

I enjoy the unique function of juicing our citrus directly into the blender jug before or during blending. The central blades crush and chop for velvety cocktails while the bowl hugging blades whip and aerate for creamier smoothies. The serrated central and outer blades are equally spaced to eliminate all traces of crunchy ice cubes or unwanted seeds and pulp.
The Eastman Tritan™ copolyester jug is BPA Free, dishwasher safe, impact resistant, and shatter proof. I was surprised how light this durable 50 ounce or 1.4 litre jug felt. The Hemisphere Twist’s four-speed electronic control enables us to regulate velocity, while six control options crush, pulse, mix, chop, blend, and liquify.

I like that the quality construction meets style and performance, with features that include high-torque 450-watt motor, stainless steel blades, a die-cast metal base with brushed aluminum finish. I love how it looks on the counter, and the narrow base and lightweight makes it easy to be moved around.
I made this Grapefruit and Ginger drink that is refreshing, and flavourful. For this drink you will need...

1 grape fruit

fresh ginger 1 1/2" chunk
2 tbsp sugar to taste
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup cold water

Peel the outer layer of the ginger. There is no need to chop the ginger, I used a chunky piece. I added the sugar, salt, and water to the blender. I juiced the grapefruit over the citrus cone lid and pressed the liquify button to blend all the ingredients to make this flavourful drink.
